Just trim buds to finish size from stock; load into trimmer, let run until desired trim; usually takes about 20 minutes per unit; the trimmer will hold up to 3.5 units. The blades never touch the buds, only trims off the leaves. Once the buds are done, they just tumble. If your trimming alot, peridically pick out the complete ones. They come out perfect. There is no dry trimmer on the market that produces like this.
