How does a rotary evaporator work?

A rotary evaporator is a special device designed to remove an extraction solvent. By lowering pressure and heating up the material, solvents reach their boiling points and evaporate in a much more gentle manner than otherwise possible. The rotation provided by the rotary evaporator creates a pressure gradient, pulling the solvent more efficiently while preventing the desired extract from also evaporating. 
 

Important Notice

All units are inspected for broken glass or parts before unit is shipped. If unit arrives damaged or glass is broken (this does not include minor imperfections or scuffs in glassware), the customer must contact Best Value Vacs within 3 days of delivery to file a claim and receive a replacement part. If the customer does not contact Best Value Vacs within 3 days of delivery, responsibility for replacement parts falls on the customer and they must pay for replacement pieces.
